The Way They Were: Marilyn, The Last Photography Sitting, 1962

Photographer George Barris took these photos of Marilyn Monroe on August 3,1962, only two days before she died on August 5, 1962 in L.A.
She was only 36. Was it suicide, murder, accidental overdose? Fifty
years later there is still speculation and no certain cause of death. As you will see, her small home was surprisingly modest for a major star but wonderfully mid-century modern in decor. RIP, MM…

Marilyn Monroe, NYC, 1950’s. Photographer unknown (at least to me).
