Falling In Love Again: Barack Obama’s Election Eve Speech And The Poetry Of Hope

Nixon, who wrote a good speech (and actually was surprisingly Liberal by today’s yardstick), said “Politics is prose. But once in a while when you need it, politics is poetry.” Barack Obama’s speech tonight was poetry. And yes, we needed it.
