With a dull title, $50 price tag and an author whose main credential is looking sexy in a bridesmaid dress at a high profile wedding, it’s not surprising that Pippa Middleton’s book, “Celebrate: A Year of Festivities For Families and Friends” didn’t sell. And now the pretty Royal sibling and party planner has been dumped by her literary agent. Martha Stewart will not be losing sleep over this young competitor whose writing days are not yet over.
The sister of the Duchess of Cambridge will soon have a monthly column in a British supermarket chain’s magazine, Waitrose Kitchen. The cooking and party planning tips column will be called “Pippa’s Friday Night Feasts.” Pippa should hold on to her day job because the New York Post will not be hiring her anytime soon as a headline writer.
David Goodwin, who negotiated the $640,000 advance on Ms. Middleton’s first book, told the Daily Mail: ‘I am very sorry it has happened, but yes, it is true: I no longer represent Pippa and I wish her every good luck.’
